Day Four

Another sunny day in San Jose! The highlight of the morning was a visit to the Indian market where I purchased spices, a large box of soan papdi (my new addiction), and some wonderful steel dishes including a lovely little masala dhabba, which consists fo a number of steel spice dishes enclosed in a larger canister , allowing easier access to often-used spices.
We spent the afternoon in a park while kids ran wild and I fell in love with a small dog. I'm a sworn cat person so this was quite out of character for me.

There was a flock of wild parrots making quite a racket in the trees.

The Princess is getting good use out of her new sunglasses.

Best of all: after a number of persuasive phone calls, The Spouse will be boarding a plane later in the week and flying south to join us for the drive back home.

We missed you guys on our hike today (hey, it was sunny here, too! For several hours!). Glad you're having a great time, and that things worked out for the spouse to join you down there.

What a fine blog this is. I especially VERY MUCH agree with your musical tastes on your profile. I just got the latest Manu Chao CD from the library and listened to it yesterday. Ahhhh...he never disappoints. And that's an understatement.
I'm just browsing about here but I quite like it.

Blue sky... so jealous...

I'm glad to hear you'll have some whole-family recreation time! Enjoy the sun and the drive home.
